We’ve just unpacked some beautiful semi-precious round beads in 4, 5 and 6mm diameters.
The supply is limited and we wish there were more available, but while they last they’re only $2.95 and $3.95 per strand!

February Classes

…almost here!
We really tried to get the February class schedule out on time.
It will be ready for sign-ups by this Thursday (the 28th).

Fine Silver Wire:

Just to test the waters, we now sell three gauges of fine silver wire
(in addition to the sterling silver, gold filled, and plated copper wires we normally sell).
Why fine silver rather than sterling?

• Retains its color when heated to liquid
• More resistant to tarnishing
• Softer and more bendable – good for pieces that don’t need the strength and durability of sterling
• Less allergenic than sterling

Fine silver wire is available in 18, 20 and 22 gauge by the foot or on 1/4 ounce spools.

No Kiln? No problem. Learn how to use your butane torch to hand fire enamel onto metal. In class you can create a variety of fused glass designs - pendants, matching earrings, charms for a bracelet, while learning Steven's tips and tricks he only shares in class. With enameling the design ideas are endless and the outcome's completely unique every time you fire!

In just three and a half hours, learn Steven's favorite techniques with one butane torch. Who knew a torch was such a versatile tool! Bring your own torch or test drive one of Steven's and learn just how far you can take your creativity. First, learn how to create simple fused fine silver links to create a pair of earrings or pendants, continue the technique at home to create more complex jewelry. Next, learn how to reticulate a silver pendant, fuse glass to metal and make simple metal solder connections. Finally, learn how to hand-fire PMC while you enjoy his favorite torched dessert!

No problem, as you will also learn how to stamp, patina and if you wish rivet metal right into place!

Here, along the sides, are some of our new Tierra Cast charms. As with all Tierra Cast products, they are made with lead-free pewter right here in Sonoma County. They meet California standards for lead content as well as the more stringent EU standard. The new styles are available plated in fine silver or 22kt. gold.
